The Poltercom Pico: Mechanical Sweep Spirit Box
Step away from digital emulation and return to the roots of instrumental transcommunication (ITC) with the Poltercom Pico. While others simulate the scan, the Pico utilizes a genuine analog FM radio receiver manipulated by a high-torque servo motor, physically turning the analog dial to sweep the airwaves.
From Paranologies, the pioneer of the mechanical sweep spirit box, comes the latest evolution in physical ghost box technology. This device bridges the gap between raw analog radio hardware and modern precision control. It features our unique 5-Speed "Bounce" Logic, allowing you to cycle seamlessly from a slow, methodical crawl to a rapid-fire sweep with a single button. A spinning gear up top visually indicates how fast the sweep speed is in real time.
Key Features
-
The Original Mechanical Sweep: Utilizing the physical sweep method pioneered by Paranologies, a servo motor physically rotates the radio’s tuning capacitor 180 degrees. This creates the raw, organic "white noise" and non-linear audio fragments that digital apps simply cannot replicate.
-
5 Distinct Sweep Speeds.
-
Audible Frequency Feedback: No need to look at the device in the dark. An integrated speaker provides instant feedback—low-pitch tones indicate slower speeds, while high-pitch tones indicate faster speeds.
-
Smart "Bounce" Interface: A single push-button creates a frustration-free experience. The device cycles speed up (1 to 5) and then automatically reverses (5 to 1), so you never have to reset or cycle through a menu during an investigation.
-
Compact Form Factor: The "Pico" design fits easily in a pocket or gear bag, making it the perfect mobile companion for active investigations.
How to Use
-
Power On: The device initializes in the "Middle" speed setting, giving you an immediate balanced sweep.
-
Adjust Speed: Press the top button once to change speed.
-
Moving Up: As you press, the sweep speeds up, and the confirmation tone gets higher in pitch.
-
Moving Down: Once you hit the maximum speed, the next press automatically slows the sweep down, accompanied by lower pitched tones.
-
-
Listen: The motor pauses momentarily during speed adjustments to let you hear the confirmation tone clearly, then immediately engages the new sweep rate.
