The Polterpod's core is its legendary clarity. Its sweep is engineered for exceptionally low static between stations, creating a high-contrast audio environment where clear, distinct responses can cut through the quiet. What truly sets the Polterpod apart is its revolutionary Dual-Mode Jog Wheel, offering two distinct methods of investigation. This is controlled by the large, top-mounted dial.

The first mode is Sweep Scan Mode (Automatic). This is the classic scan where turning the dial to the right increases the sweep speed and turning it to the left slows it down. The second is Manual Sweep Mode (1:1 Control). This groundbreaking mode gives you 1:1 manual control over the tuner. When you turn the dial, the radio sweeps at the exact speed of your hand, and if you stop turning, the scan stops on that frequency. This allows it to be used as a regular radio or for "Ouija-style" sessions. Switching between modes is intuitive: just turn the jog wheel to the far left until it stops. The next time you turn it right, you will be in the opposite mode.

How to Use the Polterpod

To switch between Sweep Scan Mode and Manual Sweep Mode, turn the large jog wheel dial all the way to the far left until it stops. The next time you turn the dial to the right, the device will be in the opposite mode. In Sweep Scan Mode, the jog wheel controls the speed of the automatic scan; turn right for faster, left for slower. In Manual Sweep Mode, the jog wheel is the tuner, and the scan only moves when you turn the dial. To begin, ask your questions, select your desired mode, and use the jog wheel to begin your scan, listening closely in the high-contrast silence.
