The Paranologies Paramid is an original and innovative detection device specifically designed for paranormal investigation. Utilizing stereo ultrasonic sensing technology, the Paramid excels at detecting and pinpointing movement or intrusion within an area up to four feet away, providing both audible and visual confirmation of the location of the anomaly.

Enhanced Directional Movement Detection

The Paramid moves beyond simple motion detection by offering precise, directional data. The unit incorporates two separate ultrasonic sensors, enabling it to accurately determine if an object or entity is approaching from the left side or the right side of the device. A front-mounted LCD display provides instant, critical information, showing both the distance to the detected object (up to 4 feet) and the side (Left or Right) from which the object is approaching. This directional feedback allows investigators to efficiently track and narrow down the origin point of a perceived disturbance, which can be crucial for positioning cameras or secondary equipment.

Alert System

If an object approaches the sensor field, the Paramid will emit an audible alarm. This is vital for unattended monitoring, ensuring that investigators are immediately alerted to an interaction even if they are not actively watching the unit. The LCD display also serves as a secondary, silent alarm, providing clear visual confirmation of the event and its precise location.

Design and Specifications

The Paramid is custom-built and ready for immediate deployment. It includes two ultrasonic sensors, a primary LCD display, and an accessible on/off switch, all housed in a single, completed unit. The maximum range is up to 4 feet (1.2 meters). The unit works off 8 AA batteries (Not Included).

How to Use

First, install eight (8) AA batteries and power on the unit. To set the threshold, place the Paramid close to a stationary object (like a wall or doorway) so that it begins to beep. Then, slowly move the unit backward, away from the object, until the beeping just stops. This is the ideal threshold for your investigation. The directional sensing is perfect for monitoring doorways, hallways, or specific objects, alerting you both audibly and visually if anything enters its 4-foot field.
