There is a moment when you first plug into the Poltervox, slowly turn the dial, and the room suddenly opens up. It is the jarring, undeniable realization that you are tapping into a dimension of sound that human ears were never meant to hear. 

Designed and engineered from the ground up for extreme live EVP experiences, the Poltervox is a hyper-sensitive, 360-degree omnidirectional stereo live-listening array. This is a strictly real-time monitoring device, it does not digitally record on its own. Instead, it utilizes a proprietary processor to physically pull microscopic frequencies out of the ether and pipe them directly into your ears the exact second they happen. 

Packed into a very small, ultra-compact handheld unit, it immerses you in the unseen space around you in real-time.

Omnidirectional Stereo Mapping: Dual omnidirectional microphones provide true left and right channel separation. This allows you to physically hear spatial differences, pinpointing instantly if a whisper or footstep is coming from the left or right side of the room.

360-Degree Monitoring: No need to point or aim. The Poltervox pulls live audio from every angle of the environment simultaneously.

Live Feed: Zero digital processing delay and zero compression. You hear the raw environment exactly as it shifts. 

Custom Noise Floor: Tuned perfectly to suppress the humming background static of a location while keeping the sensitivity high enough to allow you to experience distant whispers as they occur.

Instant Suppression and Lightning-Fast Recovery: Featuring a custom-designed audio suppression system. If a sudden loud noise happens (like a door slam), the microphone instantly suppresses the audio spike to help prevent hearing loss. Then, while standard microphones go deaf for several seconds, the Poltervox snaps back to full sensitivity in just 0.5 seconds.

Expansion and Output Flexibility

While the Poltervox natively pushes live audio directly to your wired headphones, the standard 3.5mm output jack gives you absolute control over your setup:

Record Your Session: Plug a standard 3.5mm audio splitter into the jack. Run your headphones out of one side to listen live, and patch a digital voice recorder into the other side to log your session.

Go Wireless: Plug an external Bluetooth transmitter module directly into the jack to broadcast the live feed to Bluetooth headphones or a Bluetooth speaker.

Welcome to the Omnivox

You are holding a highly specialized piece of real-time forensic audio equipment. The Poltervox is a very small, handheld live-listening device designed to allow you to experience the faintest whispers, breath, and environmental anomalies present in a location as they happen. Because of its extreme sensitivity and stereo imaging, you must follow the startup procedure exactly to protect your hearing.

WARNING: HEARING RISK

Extreme Poltervox amplification. Sudden loud environmental noises will cause severe, immediate volume spikes. Always ensure the volume is clicked entirely off before plugging in headphones, and never use near active speakers or loud sound sources. 

Safe Operation Procedure

1. Insert Batteries

Open the battery compartment on the handheld unit and insert 3 AAA batteries.

2. Verify Device is Off (Critical Safety Step)

Before plugging anything in or putting on your headphones, ensure the combined power/volume dial on the unit is turned completely to the left until it clicks into the OFF position.

3. Connect Output (Headphones or Expansions)

Plug your wired professional monitoring headphones into the standard headphone jack. 

Optional Expansions: If you wish to record your session, plug a 3.5mm audio splitter into the jack, connecting your headphones to one side and a digital voice recorder to the other. Alternatively, plug an external Bluetooth transmitter module into the jack to broadcast the live feed to a Bluetooth speaker or wireless headphones. (Note: Headphones, splitter, and Bluetooth module are not included).

4. Position the Device

Hold the compact unit steady in your hand or place it in the center of the room. Because it features omnidirectional stereo mapping, keep the unit oriented naturally in front of you so you can accurately track left and right audio cues.

5. Power On and Slowly Introduce Gain

Put your headphones on. Turn the volume dial to the right until you feel it click, indicating the device is now powered on. From there, very slowly roll the dial further to the right. Stop as soon as you can hear the faint, ambient room noise (the room tone). Do not max out the volume; the internal hardware is already amplifying the environment.
